Do I need a physician’s referral to be treated at MORE Physical Therapy?
In California, patients have direct access to physical therapists.
However, some insurance plans require a physician's referral. If your insurance carrier requires a referral, you still have the right to choose your own physical therapist. Let your physician know your choice.

Will my insurance pay for physical therapy?
Physical therapy services are often covered by insurance, however, coverage amounts and patient share of cost vary based on individual policies.  To request a quotation of insurance benefits, contact our Intake Coordinator, Jorge Villafuerte, at (408) 606-8209. Please note that a quotation of benefits is an estimate only, we are unable to obtain a guarantee of payment from insurance carriers.

I don’t have insurance coverage. What are my payment options?
MORE supports both your health and financial needs. We are happy to arrange payment plans for patients with limited or no insurance. We accept checks, Visa, and MasterCard.

Do you accept “walk-ins”?
Due to the nature of the care we provide, appointments are required.

How long will my appointments last?
Treatment sessions vary, but in general you can expect to spend 60 to 90 minutes at each appointment.

What should I wear to my appointment?
Clothing appropriate for a gym setting is best; particularly clothing that allows easy access to the body part we are treating (e.g., shorts for knee patients, tank top for shoulder patients).

Do I have to know how to swim to participate in aquatic therapy?
No swimming experience is necessary in order to participate in aquatic therapy.  Our pool is only 3 to 4 feet deep and you will never submerge your face in the water.  Our staff remain with you either in the pool or poolside through the duration of your aquatic treatment.

What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hour advance notification for cancellations in order to accommodate other patients.  A $50- fee will result when 24 hour notification is not received.  This fee is not billable to insurance and must be paid prior to receiving further services.
